Jefferson County, Texas fire officials are still battling a huge grass fire burning at a wildlife refuge.

The fire broke out in Jefferson County, Texas Thursday night. So far, no structures or animals are threatened.

Because of winds coming from the east, however, residents in the Galveston area will have a strong burn smell throughout the day.

Officials say they hoped to have the fire put out by later Friday evening.
