The great Texas warrant roundup reeled in several thousands of dollars from people who cleared their outstanding warrants.

The roundup kicked off across the state on March 5th and ended the 10th. Here in Wichita Falls, municipal court officials say 11,000 warrants were outstanding.

However, court officials say since they started getting the word out about the roundup on February 15th, law enforcement officials did not round up and arrest a great deal of people because they say those people contacted the court and took care of their fines early.

So here's a look at the results from municipal court officials. From February 15 through Sunday, March 10th, court officials say more than 1,300 outstanding warrants were cleared in Wichita Falls. From those who paid and cleared their fines, the courts collected just over $209,000.
