Green Murder Trial Rescheduled

Another high profile Texoma case will be moved to Fort Worth after a jury was unable to reach a verdict and a mistrial was declared in his murder trial last August.

Justin Green is accused of the murder of his roommate and fellow Iraq War vet.

Authorities allege he shot Jose Ramirez in his home outside Petrolia in 2007 then buried him. Ramirez's body was found on the property five years later after authorities received a tip.

The defense told jurors Green shot Ramiriz in self defense when Ramirez was reaching for a gun during an argument.

A juror in that trial told us 10 jurors thought Green was guilty while two thought he was acting in self defense.

Green's sister, mother, and another woman were also arrested in connection with tampering with evidence and assisting in covering up the death.

Clay County officials say the cost of the first trial was over $10,000.
