"Graham Wet" started circulating petitions today.
They're set up at two locations, Walmart and Dave's Conoco, where they're obtaining signatures.
The group has 60 days to get 808 signatures.
If they do that, the issue will go on the November election ballot.
The measure would allow the sale of beer and wine at convenience stores and grocery stores.
Restaurants would no longer have to obtain a private club membership for patrons to drink at the business.
The measure would not allow bars to be build in the city.
Organizers say the city is losing out on thousands of dollars of tax revenue every year because residents have to leave their town to buy alcohol.
