Head-on Collision Near Lake Arrowhead Spillway Sends One to Hospital

DPS troopers believe a head-on collision at Lake Arrowhead Monday afternoon may have been drug or alcohol related.

It happened around 3:15, near the intersection of 1954 and 2606 at the spillway.

Trooper Tony Fulton says the driver of a Hyundai passed a pickup going west in a no-passing zone before hitting a Honda head-on.

He says the female driver of the Honda was transported to United Regional by ambulance with what was believed to be non-life threatening injuries.
