The new school year will begin in about a month and it is expected to be a real pain for some students.
Doctors, clinics and health departments are preparing to administer state required immunizations to students.
The shots needed for your child depends on their grade in school but health officials say the school district will let you know if as well as what shots your child needs.
"The school system will typically send out a letter if you child is in need of immunization prior to the end of the previous school year so if your child received a letter then it's informing you of what immunizations they need," says Teressa Stephenson, lead public health nurse at the Wichita Falls/Wichita County Public Heatlh District.
The Wichita Falls/Wichita County Public Health District will host several late immunization clinics next month.
They will be on August 20th, 22nd and the 27th.
On those days shots will be given from 8 a.m. until 6:30 p.m. at the health district on Third Street.
Parents are asked to bring a copy of their child's shot record.
