Every other year, Hotter'N Hell participants are emailed a survey asking them to detail which hotel they stayed in, where they ate, and how much money they spent at the consumer show.
Last year's survey showed riders spent nearly $7 million over the Hotter'N Hell weekend.
And the riders aren't the only ones spending money.
Lindsay Greer, the director of the Wichita Falls Convention and Visitors Bureau, says, "You have to take into account that all of those riders for the most part have support systems in place, so they bring wives, children, grandparents, or spouses, so there's a lot of other people that are here. Not just the people that are participating in the rides."
Greer says during the ride those people look for activities to take part in and often spend money shopping at local stores, eating in restaurants, and going to Castaway Cove Water Park.
