Hirschi student arrested after being found with gun in cafeteria

WICHITA FALLS - A 17-year-old Hirschi High School student is arrested for having a handgun on campus.
 
According to the Wichita County Sheriff's Office, Elishah J'quan Lewis was arrested Thursday after a deputy who was working as the school resource officer received information the student had a handgun.
 
The deputy found Lewis in the cafeteria to be carrying a 9mm semi-automatic handgun as well as a loaded magazine containing 7 rounds of ammunition.
 
Lewis is charged with possession of a prohibited weapon in a gun free zone.  His bond is set at $5,000.
