Fourth of July celebrations kicked off this morning with some old fashioned fun in downtown Wichita Falls.
Dozens headed to downtown this morning to watch participants parade from Ohio to 9th Street for Kell House Museum's Old Fashioned 4th of July Celebration.
From city leaders to kids rolling through the streets sporting red, white and blue, this parade helped get folks in the patriotic spirit to celebrate this country's independence.
But the fun didn't stop when the parade ended because folks simply headed to Kell House Museum where the celebration continued.
There people of all ages enjoy music family friendly games and sweet treats.
And one mother says all the events did wonder's at keeping her active 20 month old busy.
"He bounced himself crazy. He bounced and went to the little fishing hole and got me some toys and a tattoo and cookies and he's ready to go home and call it a day," says Jennifer Clark.
Last year, renovations on the historic property prevented Kell House from hosting its Old Fashioned 4th of July Celebration."
But this year, coordinators say an estimated 700 people poured in to take part of the festivities.
