Ticket sales are underway for an inaugural fundraiser in Wichita Falls that aims to use fashion to put hot meals on the table for those in need.

"High Heels for Hot Meals" will raise money for Meals on Wheels.

Organizers say the event is for everyone and comes at a time when the non-profit really needs the community's support.

Jackie Riley, director of marking for THE Kitchen, says, "In April this year, we set a record for the most meals delivered in Wichita Falls. We did an average of 832 meals each day."

Shirley Craft, the "High Heels for Hot Meals" chairperson, says, "Shoes. It's all about shoes with the high heels. Shoes are in our live auction, they're in our logo, they're in our silent auction. It's really about putting on your best high heels or wedges or whatever and bring your husband, spouse, or boyfriend and come support Meals on Wheels."

High Heels for Hot Meals is Thursday at The Kemp at the Forum at 6:30.  Tickets are $75 and can be purchased by calling The Kitchen at 940-322-6232.  There will also be a limited amount of tickets available at the door.  You can also stop by The Shoe Closet and purchase tickets.
