A Wichita County sheriff's lieutenant, injured near last week's military jet crash site, is out of the hospital.
Lt. George Robinson fell while climbing a 10 to 12 foot fence last Friday in East Wichita County.
Officials say he was trying to get to one of the pilots who had ejected from the jet.
The impact of the fall caused a severe break in his right leg.
According to Sheriff David Duke, Robinson underwent surgery and has temporary rods connecting his foot to his shattered leg.
Duke says Robinson will return to the hospital so surgeons can replace the temporary rods with more permanent hardware to repair his injury.
