Next month, Iowa Park Schools will have a new superintendent. Assistant Superintendent Steve Moody has been named the lone finalist for the position. He's taking over from Jerry Baird who's set to retire after 11 years on the job.
Moody has been with the Iowa Park School District for 25 years and in his current role since 2007. Prior to that, the Midwestern State alumni worked as a teacher and coach in Electra. Yhere is a 21-day wait period for Moody to take the reigns. His first official day is expected to begin early next month.
