Iowa Park Gets Big Boost in Sales Tax Revenue

Iowa Park may be getting a big boost in retail sales thanks to the sale of alcohol which began this summer after voters approved it in May.

Sales tax receipts for September from the state comptroller show Iowa Park's sales tax revenue is up more than 75% from the same month last year.
For the entire year, Iowa Park's revenue is up about 5%.

Sales tax rebate checks to Burkburnett and Electra will be down from last year while Wichita Falls will get a bigger check from the Comptroller.

For the entire state, sales tax revenue is up 2.7% compared to a year ago.
