Jack county attorney, Michael Mask is offering an apology after being disqualified from the November general election for violating the Texas election code.
It states no candidate may be on the ballot if that candidate voted in a party primary other than the party they're the nominee of.
Mask is a Democrat and he voted for several candidates at the local level that switched to the Republican Party.
He says he was unaware of the law, and thought he had the constitutional right, like all Americans to vote for who he wanted to.
Mask says it was ignorance on his part not to know the law as an attorney.
