Jealous Boyfriend Blamed in Ohio Teen Murders
A 16-year-old girl who was shot in the head and killed early Sunday morning in Akron, Ohio was four months pregnant, according to the Summit County Medical Examiner's Office.
Police responded to a home around 3:55 a.m. Sunday where they found 16-year-old Anna R. Karam dead in the living room.
Karam, who was four months pregnant, had been shot in the head.
The Summit County Medical Examiner has ruled Karam's death a homicide.
Jessica Halman, 19, of Norton, was also found injured in the kitchen.
Halman, who was also shot in the head, was taken to Akron General Medical Center. Her condition was not immediately available.
Witness statements were taken by police and they quickly identified David Stoddard, 24, as the suspect. Police said Stoddard was looking for his ex-girlfriend in the house and when did not find her, he shot the other girls.
Stoddard pleaded not guilty to the charges on Monday morning and was being held under $250,000 cash bond.
