Jefferson County Sheriff's Department Releases Statement After Sexual Assault


Jefferson County (Oklahoma) authorities are searching for a man they say sexually assaulted a woman yesterday afternoon.

Authorities say a  woman was found naked in Ryan, Oklahoma and told deputies that she had been sexual assaulted. The woman was then taken to Duncan Regional Hospital for observation.

At this time, Jefferson County Officials are working with multiple agencies to find the person responsible. They do not believe he poses a danger, there is no indication he is armed.

Below is the official statement Jefferson County Sheriff's Department released: 

On April 27th, 2017 at approximately 03:15 P.M. the Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department received a 911 call that an adult female had been found wearing no clothing, in Ryan Oklahoma. She reported that she had been sexually assaulted at this time. Jefferson County Sheriff’s Department, Waurika Police Department, Ringling Police Department, Ryan Fire Department, and Waurika Emergency Medical Services responded. Upon arrival the victim was taken to Duncan Regional Hospital for observation by Waurika Emergency Medical Services, while all other agencies began a search for the suspect. At this time, suspect has not been apprehended. It is not believed that the suspect poses a danger to the general public, and there is no indication that he is armed.
