For nearly 50 years it was a part of so many folks' morning routine: RFD 3 with Joe Brown.
As you know, Joe retired several months ago, but we couldn't just throw out the old front porch set many of you have seen all these years; so we're going to share it with generations to come.
This was the scene inside our studio this morning as a crew from the Museum of North Texas History took down that familiar wood wall and of course the clock.
It will soon be rebuilt inside the museum here in Wichita Falls so everyone can enjoy it.
Charles Campbell, the executive director of the museum, says, "Joe Brown is pretty much part of the fabric of North Texas, so we were very interested in getting his set for that reason.  Secondly, and related to that, everybody knows who Joe Brown is in this area, so it will help us get people in to the museum."
Campbell says they hope to have good ole Joe Brown's set reconstructed in the next four to six weeks.
And we'll of course keep you posted on the progress.
