Robert Alvarado is charged with tampering or fabricating physical evidence in the murder of Danielle Hill Alvarado, his daughter-in-law.
He entered a guilty plea in the 30th District Court this afternoon.
His case will go to court Tuesday as a bench trial: that means without a jury, and the judge will hear the case and decide punishment.
Danielle went missing in January 2010.
On Oct. 19, 2012, Danielle's body was found buried at Burnett Park.
Police arrested Alvarado after the body of his daughter-in-law was found.
Arrest records show Robert Alvarado told police Jonathan stabbed Danielle and the two of them hid the body for two days, before burying it in Burnett Park off FM 368.
Jonathan reportedly committed suicide in September 2011.
