In Vernon, another jury has found a Vernon man guilty in the brutal death of his friend in 2012.

Ezekiel Bell is on trial in 46th District Court. He was charged with beating Michael Ridge to death with a baseball bat. The jury there just returned with that guilty verdict.

Testimony began on Wednesday.

Police say it happened just after midnight on December 19th, 2012 in the 2400 block of Fannin.

Prosecutors are not clear of a motive but say police found drugs at the scene.

Officers initially went out to that residence on a disturbance call. When they got there, they say they found Ridge dead.
