A rodeo will take place Saturday but instead of horses and steers it will include fishing poles and bait.
The Wichita Falls Parks and Recreation Department and Texas Parks and Wildlife are hosting the annual Kids Fishing Rodeo.
Saturday morning, youngsters, ages 16 and under, can compete at reeling in fish.
The kids fishing rodeo is tomorrow from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Plum Lake, which is next to the Wichita Falls Softball Complex at 1702 Sheppard Access Road.
The event is free of charge but coordinators say since only a limited number of poles will be available to borrow, participants should bring their own fishing poles.
