Last of 39 Defendants in Federal Drug Distribution Case Sentenced

A major federal drug distribution case that began in Wichita Falls in 2010 has finally ended with the sentencing of the last of the 39 defendants arrested in the case.

Forty-year-old Stuart Ray Mitchell received about 12 and a half years for pleading guilty to conspiring to possess with intent to distribute meth. Mitchell was one of the 39 people arrested and charged for involvement in the meth distribution ring.

Sentences for the defendants range from 6 to 25 years. Federal, state and local agencies cooperated in the investigation and arrests.
