The man found guilty of murdering a Comanche County couple in 2009 received the death penalty on Tuesday.
Lawton jurors deliberated the punishment of Mica Martinez from about 10:20 a.m. until about 3 p.m.
Martinez was found guilty last week of two counts of first-degree murder and one count of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon for the murders of 55-year-old Martha Miller and her husband, 64-year-old Carl Miller.
The double murder happened at the Miller's home off Highway 115, south of Cache, Oklahoma.
Mrs. Miller was also sexually assaulted and both died in the hospital following the attacks.
