It's now been over a year since the liquor license for the Las Vegas Club on North Scott expired and it is still operating pending a review and renewal.

As far as we have been able to determine, no hearing has been held on the renewal. The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission gave notice of its intent not to renew the license and the city of Wichita Falls joined that effort, after police reported a high number of crimes at the location, including 8 assaults, 13 drug calls and 41 arrest warrants from 2004 to 2011.

One of those arrests was for Jerry Joe Garza for aggravated assault of two men after he allegedly went into a jealous rage about his ex-girlfriend, Monica Partida. We have contacted city, county, and state officials attempting to find out if a hearing has been set, but so far have not received any information.
