Local bookstore takes part in National Seed Swap Day

Today is national seed swap day and a local bookstore decided to take part in the event. Peggy Browning is the owner of browning books and a gardener wanted to host the event to help grow the gardening community. Browning said seed swapping is the ultimate form a recycling because it can keep going.

“It helps not only to grow your garden but your gardening community,” said Browning. “So, people share their tips. Share their seeds. Share their plants and share the knowledge that they gain each year.”

There were also a few gardening books by local authors available. Browning said they are planning to have another seed swap day in April.
