Valentine's Day is less than two hours away, and the National Retail Federation estimates people will spend around $17.3 billion on gifts and dinner.
At TGS Cupcakery, owner Aerial Thane says it has been busy the last few days preparing sweets and treats for folks planning something special for loved ones that they have even run out of inventory at times.
Thane says this is the third Valentine's Day her shop has been open and she's seen the idea of giving cupcakes as gifts grow over the last few years.
"It's definitely our busiest day of the year for sure," Thane says. "The 13th, 14th, are our two busiest. We've gotten better every year so hopefully tomorrow runs smoothly."
Thane says when it comes to ordering, most women do it days in advance and men are usually the ones to walk in last minute looking for the perfect gift.
