Local Deputies traded their badges in for elf hats today for a good cause

Those who have signed up to serve and protect Wichita County traded their badges today for elf hats. Hundreds of children will now have a very Merry Christmas-- thanks to the Wichita County Sheriff's Office.

Once again this year-- deputies and staff played Santa's helpers--- and delivered gifts to several local nonprofits.

Faith Mission's CEO-- says they are so thankful they can now provide the magic of the season for their families-- and he says the kindness of strangers brought so much joy-- as soon as the gifts were dropped off.

"Everybody was excited, there were smiles on everybody's faces just to see that somebody out there cares that they have a normal Christmas and a happy Christmas, so it definitely builds the moral of all of our clients and our staff, too." Steve Sparks- Faith Mission CEO

The Sheriff's Office also made special deliveries at Helen Farabee and at Patsy's house.
