Smith's Gardentown is holding their final days of business Friday through Memorial Day. Last month, the family owned business announced it would be closing at least for the summer because the extended drought. Officials say watering restrictions were severely hurting their operations.
One of the owners will be opening a Wild Birds Unlimited store in the Market Street Plaza on Fairway later this summer.
The owners hope to re-open the nursery this Fall, but say they can only do so if lake levels go up significantly.
