A local pastor is charged with molesting a young girl in a church office. Seventy-six year old Johnny Botello, listed as pastor of an Assembly of God church on Sheppard Access, is charged with indecency with a child by sexual contact. His bond was set at $40,000 and he is no longer in the Wichita County Jail.

Police say they conducted an investigation involving family members of Botello and the victim was interviewed at Patsy's House. They say the girl told investigators Botello took her to a church on Sheppard Access Road and they were alone inside the church office when he began rubbing her breasts under her clothing.

Police say interviews with members of the victim's family put the date of the incident as last August 29th. According to the arrest affidavit, when Botello was questioned by police, he admitted touching the girl under her clothes in the church.

The charge is a second degree felony.
