When 16-year-old Brandy Wehrly found out she was pregnant, she considered her options.
She ultimately decided to give the baby up for adoption.
She says she thinks it's important that others hear her story.
"You don't have to be a mom at 16-years-old. You don't have to abort your baby, and you can give your baby a life that you would want your child to have," Wehrly says.
Leslie Howard, the executive director of Inheritance Adoptions, says, "It gives the child a two parent home and stability, and opportunities that may not be there by a teenager raising a child."
Brandy's daughter is now six months old and she sees her regularly.
Through working with Inheritance Adoptions, she's part of an open adoption that allows her to be part of the baby's life.
Brandy returned to life as a high school student, and hopes to attend college in the fall.
