Volunteers from the Wichita Falls Area Red Cross chapter are heading to Arkansas to help in the wake of devastating storms.

The volunteers loaded up the Emergency Response Vehicle this morning, and are on their way to Little Rock. They will be bringing clean up supplies to other volunteers in the area, and they plan to feed some of the crews when the arrive.

Storms ripped through the region Sunday, and at least 14 people were killed.

Local volunteers say their focus will be on assisting those cleaning up the debris.

Volunteer Jon Burge says, “We'll get food from our kitchen and we'll distribute it to people who are cleaning up and working around the disaster.”

Officials say they could be in Arkansas for the next three weeks.
