A high school dance team is just days away from a holiday performance in Florida.
Wichita Falls High School's Lonestar Dance Team left Wednesday morning for Walt Disney world in Orlando, Florida.
The team was invited to perform at Disney's annual Christmas Day Parade after winning a bid to nationals during their summer dance camp.
“We are pretty excited. We have been talking about it all week. Wait we are leaving today, what? So, yeah, we are pretty excited,” said Captain Deshlin Franklin.
For the past month the girls have rehearsed the routine for the parade, which will be on Saturday.
The parade will air on national television on Christmas Day.
