Major Pot Bust On Highway 287

An Idaho man's facing serious charges here in Texoma, after a large marijuana bust Friday evening.

It happened around 7:15 on Highway 287 Southbound, near Electra.

Trooper Tony Fulton says 26- year-old Christopher Landers was pulled over for speeding, and when that trooper smelled marijuana, Fulton says he searched the car.

Inside, Fulton says 4- large duffel bags were found in the back seat and trunk, carrying a total of around 54- pounds of marijuana, valued at more than $235,000.

Fulton says more than 1000- grams of hash was also found, worth around $5,000.

Landers was arrested and taken to the Wichita County Jail.

He's charged with possession of a controlled substance more than 400 grams, and possession of marijuana more than 50 pounds.

Bond was set at $150,000.

Landers is no longer in the Wichita County Jail.
