A man charged with the murders of two men in a home on North 3rd last fall has a court appearance in 30th District Court today.
23-year-old Jermar Fuller was arrested in the Texas Panhandle three weeks after the shooting deaths.
He was incited on capital murder charges for the shooting deaths of 22-year-old David Phillips and 39-year-old Sammy Rankin.
Wichita Falls detectives say when they interviewed Fuller after his arrest he denied knowing the victims but when they searched his phone they found a text from Fuller's father saying he'd heard the two men were dead.
They also say they interviewed the woman who owned the car Fuller was driving who told them she'd loaned it to him to transport marijuana.
They also said the woman knew details of the crime scene only police knew and she later admitted Fuller told her he'd gone to rob Rankin. According to police the woman said Fuller told her he killed both men so there would be no witnesses.
