A drug bust Monday afternoon was a team effort by the Organized Crime Unit, SWAT and K-9 units and led to the arrest of a man at 4736 Eden Lane in Wichita Falls.
38-year-old Allen Dennis is charged with possession of a controlled substance with the intent distribute it valued at nearly $18,000.
Police said Dennis was found in possession of nearly six ounces of crack cocaine, nearly four ounces of marijuana and $1100 in cash.
Police said they also found digital scales and baggies that led them to the charge of intent to distribute.
"Were talking about fifteen to twenty thousand dollars of crack cocaine depending on how they split it up and everything. This is a lot of drugs and this guy is a person that is distributing drugs in our community and is a major player. It's a good score for our narcotics unit and they did a great job," said Sergeant John Spragins from the Wichita Falls Police Department.
A records search found that Dennis has a lengthy record dating back to 1994 in Wichita County.
His past charges include several drug possession arrests, resisting and evading arrest and he has been sentenced to prison 3 different times.
Dennis was released on parole in 2013.
Sergeant Spragins said the drugs will be taken to a lab and tested.
