Man Arrested in Road Rage Incident Allegedly Pulled a Gun

A man is charged with aggravated assault after Wichita Falls police say he pointed a gun at the driver behind him. It happened near the intersection of Langford and Barnett Road yesterday afternoon.

According to police, 38-year-old Clinton Thompson became upset because the driver of another vehicle was allegedly tailgating him. The alleged victim says Thompson, began "flipping him off" and using profanity as they were driving north on FM 1954. 

The victim stated once he got to the intersection of Sisk Road and Southwest Parkway he let Thompson get in front of him.

That's when he says Thompson slammed on his brakes causing him to have to stop at which time Thompson exited his vehicle, came up to the victim's driver's side door and pointed a handgun at the victim.

Thompson's bond has not been set.
