A man who threatened to stab two Denny's waitresses if they didn't refill his coffee has received prison time.

Ronald Christopher Cox was found guilty of aggravated assault.

He's sentenced to three years in prison.

According to an arrest affidavit, Cox was arrested at the Denny's in the 12-hundred block of Central Freeway after two waitresses said Cox took out a black knife, opened it and said if he didn't get his coffee he would stab them.

Police say two customers witnesses the incident.
