Man is Tased After Ramming Police Car Three Times

An erratic driver led to a brief police chase and a truck ramming into a police vehicle multiple times Friday.

Wichita Falls police officers arrested 41-year-old Antonio Rosales for aggravated assault of a public servant, evading arrest and DWI.

They say the incident started around 12:45 Friday morning when they received calls about a truck driving through yards in the 1600 block of 14th Street. Officers found the pickup spinning its tires in a driveway before it sped away.

When police finally stopped the truck they say Rosales backed into their vehicle three times while the officer was trying to exit.

They also say Rosales refused to exit the pickup and officers  shattered the driver’s and passenger’s side windows and tased him for eight seconds and  he was taken into custody.

When asked why he ran and refused to comply, they said he told them he was a Mexican national in this country illegally, and “that’s the thing I do.”
