BURKBURNETT - A 33-year-old Burkburnett man has one charge dismissed and received five years in prison on another in connection with the stabbing of his roommate.
Jacob Paul Biner made a plea deal for one charge of aggravated assault, and the second charge of aggravated assault family violence was dismissed.
Police say they found a 23-year-old man covered in blood lying in front of a mobile home on Tidal Street in November 2016 and a woman was applying pressure to one of multiple stab wounds.
The victim told officers he had tried to break up a fight between his roommate and the woman and that Biner pulled out a knife and lunged at him, and stabbed him multiple times. He said he wrestled Biner to the ground and Biner got up and left.
Police say the victim was stabbed in the arm, hip, shoulder and left rib cage.
