A man originally stopped for driving without a license is now facing weapon and drug charges.

Police say they saw 24- year- old Cody Stage driving when they knew he did not have a license.

Then, after he was pulled over, officers say they saw a handgun in the door of the car.

That could have been legal, but because they say Stage was committing a crime by driving without a license, he is now charged with unlawful carrying of a weapon.

Also, officers say they found under 2- ounces of marijuana, as well as cocaine and methamphetamine in the car before it was towed.

Stage's bonds total more than 23- thousand dollars.
