A more than two-hour long stand-off on the Falls Flyover is now over and traffic is returning to normal.
Portions of US 82 and I-44 were shut down and traffic was re-routed while police say they communicated with a man who was threatening to jump from the overhead freeway.
Police reported to the scene at about two this afternoon.
More than 20 officers were on scene trying to stop the man from jumping.
Sergeant John Spragins says the man even stood on the outside rail at one point.
Traffic was backed up for miles as police blocked off the area to make sure everyone stayed safe.
Several minor accidents happened around the area, though, because drivers weren't paying attention to the road.
Spragins says the man was safely taken into custody and is being taken to the North Texas State Hospital for evaluation.
