Police say a homeless man is arrested after a woman said she saw him inside her car in her garage.
Yesterday afternoon police were called to the 2100 block of Clarinda in reference to a burglary of a vehicle in progress.
When officers arrived a woman said that she saw a man wearing a black coat, carrying a backpack and a duffel bag inside of her car, which was parked in the garage.
When she confronted him the woman told authorities that the man walked off. While police were checking the area, a neighbor said she saw a man sitting in the backyard of a home on Berkeley.
The man identified himself to police as Joshua Wayne Jones. While searching him, police found two guns strapped to his chest a .22 caliber revolver and a 9 millimeter Glock Semi-Auto handgun. Both were loaded with ammo.
Police say the muzzle of the revolver was shortened and the serial number filed off. Authorities say Jones does not have a license to carry a concealed weapon.
According to his arrest affidavit, Jones told officers that he was homeless staying in sheds. He's charged with two counts of unlawful carrying weapon and two counts of tamper w/identification numbers.
