Montague Co. Woman Charged in Mother's Murder

Sheriff Cunningham says the murder victim is 68 year old Bonnie Gresham, who lived on Lone Star Road, where many investigators were seen Friday.

The sheriff also says the murder suspect is Gresham's daughter.

All was quiet at the 1800 block of Lone Star Road outside of Bowie.

But residents on this dirt road say that changed last Friday when deputies blocked off the street and more than a dozen law enforcement officials poured onto this property.

Montague County Sheriff Paul Cunningham says it all started earlier this month with a missing person's report.

"On the 2nd of June of this year Bonnie Gresham was reported missing to the Montague County Sheriff's Office. A joint investigation with the Montague County Sheriff's Office, 97th District Attorney's Office Investigators and Texas Rangers led to the discovery of Bonnie's body," says Sheriff Cunningham.

Investigators will not reveal where Gresham's body was found but neighbors believe it was here.

"She has been deceased for a long period of time when we found her," Sheriff Cunningham explains.

Cunningham also says the investigation led them to the person they believe is responsible.

"Through the investigation it was determined that her daughter was responsible for the murder at which time she was arrested," Cunningham says.

That person is 51 year old Tina Fay Sinclair.

She was arrested Monday and charged with first degree murder.

This is not Sinclair's first arrest in Montague County.

In 1999, she was sentenced to probation on a drug charge and last year to community service for driving while intoxicated and last year sentenced to community service for driving while intoxicated.

Now, she is back in jail on a $500,000 bond for murder.
