A Montague County man is in jail after sheriff's officials say he held his mother hostage inside a home for eight hours yesterday.
The Montague sheriff's office took pictures which show SWAT team members preparing to go inside a home at 308 Meadows Street in Saint Jo to retrieve a man who refused to let a home health nurse inside his home to care for his elderly mother.
Sheriff Paul Cunningham has identified the man as 47-year-old Brian Todd Blanton from Saint Jo. He is currently in the Montague County Jail. At this time we have not been given his official charge or bond amount.
