A Montague County woman is out on a 1-thousand dollars bail after sheriff's officials say she admitted to dumping four puppies in a rural area.
47-year-old Pamela Pound is charged with "cruelty to non-livestock animal." Investigators say on December 15th a caller reported seeing a vehicle dumping puppies on Upper Montague Road and gave a license plate number.
That vehicle belonged to pound. Investigators say when they questioned her, Pound admitted to taking her son's advice and dumping the four 8 to 10-week-old puppies by a road. Two days later deputies arrested Pound.
She has since bonded out of jail.
