A Montague County sheriff's deputy, shot three months ago during a traffic stop, is being pitched a big honor by a professional baseball team.
Last week the Texas Rangers asked Deputy James Boyd to throw out the first pitch of its July 19th game.
He says when he takes to the field to throw the ball he will have lots of support in the stands.
"There's a lot of people from the Montague County sheriff's office as well as a lot of the local agencies around here as well as a lot of family and friends going to it as well," says Dep. Boyd.
Deputy Boyd's toss will take place at 7:05 p.m. on July 19th during law enforcement appreciation night at Ranger's Ballpark in Arlington.
Although that stadium holds more than 40,000 fans, Boyd says he's not feeling any pressure-- yet.
