Trinkets, delicious fudge, and their family grown pecans.
It's those treats the Montz family hope will get folks off the 287 and into their new store.
"We had been looking for land on 287 for about ten years and we had talked to some people but there was always a problem," said Jill Montz of Montz Pecan Company of Texas.
Until the Montz family received an offer they couldn't refuse.
It was from the Henrietta Growth Corporation.
1.3 acres of land, located just West of the Best Western off the 287 Hwy was offered to them.
They say it's the perfect spot to grow their business.
"We are wanting to tap into a different market. The travelers that are traveling up and down the 287 everyday," she said.
It's a win-win says Henrietta's Economic Development Director.
With 15 thousands cars driving around Henrietta on the 287, Henrietta hopes to gain from the travels shopping as well.
"Course that will generate sales tax for the city and for the Henrietta Growth Corporation that is our livelihood. The Henrietta Growth Corporation is solely funded by 4B sales tax. So this will help us immensely," he said.
The new store will also consist of a gas station so travelers can not only fill their tummies with treats but fill up their tanks too.
Officials plan to break ground on the project at the start of the new year and say Montz should be serving their sweets starting next September.
And for those locals who enjoy visiting the Montz Pecan Shed in Wichita Falls, they say don't worry, that location will continue to serve the local community.
