Northbound traffic was shut down Thursday morning on U.S. 287 North near Jolly after an accident left an 18-wheeler in flames.
D.P.S. Officials tell us at about 7:40am, a wrecker truck from Melton's Wrecker Service was towing a 1970 pickup and traveling in the left hand lane of northbound 287 near Fisher Road.
When the wrecker changed into the right hand lane, officials say an 18 wheeler slammed into its back end.
Both the wrecker and semi traveled off the highway and into a ditch.
Officials say the 18 wheeler flipped onto its side and immediately caught fire.
D.P.S. Officials have opened the right hand lane of northbound 287 so traffic can slowly pass through.
Officials tell us no injuries have been reported.
