Morning Ride Tests Conditions for Hotter'N Hell

Hot temperatures every day would fit right in to the dog days of summer, But constant temperatures that are excessively high are causing concern for organizers of the Hotter'N Hell Hundred, which is scheduled for Saturday, August 27th.
So Wednesday morning, riders did a test run along Old Iowa Park Road at 5:30 Wednesday morning to get a better idea about light and weather conditions and if they should plan on starting the event at an earlier time of day.
"We found that a 6:30 start I mean a 6:15 start for the hundred mile riders would be a safe start. There is plenty of light and just to sort of ensure, we also found that there are street lights five miles out on the trail I mean on the road," said Chairman Roby Christie
Christie says an official start time should be set by Thursday.
