A man on a motorcycle who officials say tried to run from sheriff's deputies is now behind bars.
40-year-old Cory Don Turkett is charged with evading arrest and a parole violation. He also has a felony drug warrant in Oklahoma.
Sheriff David Duke says a deputy tried to pull Turkett over at Northwest Drive and Loop 11 shortly before 8:30 Tuesday night. Duke says he took off and deputies gave chase.
Officials say Turkett later bailed from the motorcycle, jumped a fence into Lakeside Village Mobile Home Park where he ran into a trailer. He eventually surrendered and was taken to jail.
