Multiple Quakes Shake TX & OK

Recently the states of Oklahoma and Texas have experienced an up tick in earthquake activity.  And this activity has been shockingly close to Texoma.

A majority of the recent earthquakes have centered around the Oklahoma City Metropolitan area.

In fact, 20 quakes have occurred in the metro area and north of the area during the past seven days.  To see where the earthquakes were and to use an interactive map click on this word OK MAP.  The strongest of the recent temblors were two 3.4 magnitude.  One of them was located just northeast of OKC and reported to have been felt by at least 208 folks that reported the shaking directly to the United States Geological Survey (USGS).  And, those reports indicated the shaking felt was 'moderate'.  Although no damage was reported.  The earthquakes continue even today.

There have also been quakes just southeast of Jack County in Texoma.

Take a look at this TX MAP of the earthquake activity.  There have been a total of five quakes in the last seven days in this area.  Most were not felt by folks in North Texas but for those that lived directly above the epicenter it was felt.  The strongest was a 3.0 magnitude and 18 people responded on to report what they felt.
